The Tecnor Company, has its origins in F.lli Padrin (Padrin brothers), a young artisan company, founded in Gallarate at the beginning of the 60's. After working for third parties, it started its general mechanical manufacturing activities concentrating initially on the production of hydraulic jacks for lifting heavy vehicles.
As the use of hydraulics spread, particulary in the form of hydraulic drives for powering movement in a wide range of activities (transport, earth movement, building operations, industry, injection presses, military and space aeronautics, mining, off-shore prospecting and even in amusement parks), the brothers decided to concentrate on this fascinating field.
At the beginning of the 70's other brothers entered the Company, bringing with them a further wave of enthusiastic drive. After further growth, the Company started to manufacture connectors for hydraulic drives. This activity made a move to larger promises in Somma Lombardo necessary. The move enabled a more rational organisation to be achieved and gave the Company's developement a strong and decisive stimulus.
With further growth even these premises became restrictive. Therefore in August 1977 all the activities were transferred to Cassano Magnago, to a recently constructed factory.
Here the Company was able to organise its production more rationally and there was ample space for technical and staff expansion to satisfy the growth of orders.
